She had inborn special qualities like, quick-witted nature, longing for deep knowledge, sharp intelligence and discipline.

Shri. Akka attained Nirvana (left her physical body) in Nanded on the holy day of Dhantrayodashi in 1998 while delivering a discourse on Shri. Bhagwat which generally runs for a week. This is a brief biography of her.
Shri. Akka was initiated and graced by Her Holiness Bhagirathibai Vaidya. Her holiness Bhagirathibai Vaidya was a disciple of Shri. Balbhim Maharaj of Indore. At Chaphal she was initiated as a member of the sect “Samarth Sampradaya” by Shri. Tatyaswami, then chieftain of Sajjangad. It is believed that this tradition was started by Shri. Samartha Ramdas himself. As per the tenets of this sect, Shri. Akka also performed her own funeral rites at ‘Prayag’.
